Marta knows what it's like to run a business. She and her husband, Bob, owned and operated a successful chain of retail stores in Owen Sound, Collingwood, and Barrie for more than 25 years. Looking for a change of environment after selling their family business, she gravitated toward commercial insurance.

Over the past 5 years with Carruthers Nicol, Marta has demonstrated a keen interest in finding more cost effective insurance solutions for businesses throughout Grey and Bruce Counties. In addition to participating in ongoing professional development courses to refine her technical capabilities, she has taken the initiative to develop programs catered to several industries including contractors, automotive parts supplier and retailers just to name a few. Marta achieved her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Designation (CAIB) in June, 2008. Her experience, backed up with formal training, enables her to handle the complexities of clients insurance needs.
