Michael Carruthers

Commercial Account Executive

Michael, son of one of the founders of Carruthers Nicol Insurance & Investments Inc. has been active in virtually every role of the brokerage in his nearly 40 years with our firm. Michael manages the development, placement and service of large commercial risks and employs his wealth of knowledge and experience as a mentor and trainer within our firm.

For most of those years he took a special interest in Business and Commercial Insurance and Risk Management graduating from the Insurance Institute and achieving the designation of Canadian Certified Insurance Broker (CCIB) which is recognized as the highest broker standard in Canada.

Michael has been an active contributor to the community as a member of several boards including the Health Centre Board, co-founder of Participation Lodge and chair of Lutheran Social Services (St. Francis Place). He enjoys his family of 4 children and 5 grandchildren.
